Today, I picked up an application to the Claire's in my hometown. They're not currently hiring, but they will at least keep the application on file for a while. That seems to be a common thing in buisnesses these days.
Anyway, if it's really true that the world will end on the 21st of this month, then this will likely be the last time I apply there. (I will likely turn in the application either next Tuesday or next Thursday as I'm otherwise engaged on the other days of the week.) Of course, if the world does end, then I won't have to worry about getting a job.
